Conscious Cultural Travel

Limited space available

Conscious Cultural Travel offers a new way of travel with a greater sense of connection.

This is journeying with a fresh ability to see the other. This is exploring Spain not simply touring. This is a way to become immersed in Andalusia and experience the authentic culture.

The workshop is a mix of play, photography and personal expansion inviting a new way of travel focused on seeing, connecting and making images from the inside out. Your mind, heart, body, and spirit will be renewed and your photography will reflect an expanded way of seeing the world.

Conscious Cultural Travel focuses on expanding our perception with the goal to deeply connect with the culture of Spain. The connection we seek as travelers and photographers is with the land, the people, characteristics of Spanish style and those elements that make up the spirit or soul of Andalusia.

“This trip is not just about learning more about photography, it is an opportunity to see Spain from the inside out. What we see is a reflection of our inner eye, the lens of our heart, which was initially shaped by our environment growing up and later by the choices we made, as we became more aware. We offer our participants a myriad of opportunities to expand their inner lens and enter a new world of seeing which will then be reflected and captured in their images.” ~Anne & Wayne

Anne Ferrier: Will guide us in exploring how we individually perceive the world and how our perception, our lens, shapes our world including the way we make images.

She will offer a framework to understand how our perception has created the lens through which we see the “other”, in this case the people of Spain. Through conversations and practices, we will expand our lens, and increase our possibilities for greater connection in how we see and interact with others.

Wayne Eastep: Will guide us into understanding how our mind’s eye, our perception, informs how we see. He will give us ideas that will help us understand how we see. We will make images from this expanded way of observing.

We will use the camera to explore and express what we see. The goal is to make a series of images that will tell our individual story of how we observed Spanish culture in Andalusia. The emphasis will be on expanding how we observe and not on technical and gear-oriented questions.
