Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is located in the beautiful Palani range of hills at Kodaikanal.
The effect was first detected at the observatory in January 1909. The longitudinal setting of this scientific abode makes it a one-of-a-kind spot to examine solar behavior.
The observatory houses the most comprehensive compilation of solar data from as far back as the 19th century. Furthermore, the place has an unusual geography that makes it especially interesting for observations. At present, it features all the modern imaging apparatus and is a must-visit location to observe celestial events. Visitors can see a 20-cm refractor here that helps in comet observations and to view relevant occultation events.

Silver Cascade Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls, is the first attraction that unfolds to tourists. It is located on the Madurai-Kodaikanal road on the way to Kodaikanal. This water fall is the result of excess water in the Kodai Lake, which comes down as a fall. Silver Cascade Falls is located at a distance of around 8km from Kodaikanal.

Pambar Falls is very famous for its rich biodiversity. It is located 5km from Kodaikanal Bus Stand. Pambar Falls was created from fairy falls and ended up in the Vaigai River.
